Once you’ve read up on the new Pilot, take it for a spin at Underriner Honda near Cody and Laurel.
Honda Pilot Engine
The 2018 Honda Pilot engine is a standard 3.5L V6 that outputs 280 hp and 262 lb-ft of torque. On most Pilot trim levels, this power is sent out via a six-speed automatic transmission, but the Touring trim steps you up to a nine-speed automatic with steering wheel mounted paddle shifters. When properly equipped, the Honda Pilot tows up to 5,000 pounds.
Honda Pilot MPG Ratings
The Honda Pilot’s engine includes direct fuel injection, an Eco Assist™ system, Variable Cylinder Management™, and other features that help maximize performance and fuel economy. With its base engine and transmission, the 2018 Honda Pilot earns an EPA-estimated 19 mpg city/27 mpg highway*.
Honda Pilot Drivetrain
The standard drivetrain on the Honda Pilot is front-wheel drive, but all models are also offered with an all-wheel drive option. The Pilot also includes a few features to help you navigate Red Lodge roads:
- All models except the base trim also get the Intelligent Traction Management System. On 2WD models, this includes a special setting for Snow. If you choose AWD, you’ll also get settings for Snow, Sand, and Mud.
- Hill Start Assist helps keep your vehicle from going backward when you’re stopped on a hill.
