2022 Honda Civic Fuel Economy by Trim Level

For 2022, the Honda Civic Sedan is available in four trims. Since each configuration is designed to meet the needs of slightly different drivers, the Honda Civic mpg ratings and features offered on each model vary slightly. Take a look at how the 2022 Honda Civic fuel economy ratings differ by trim here:

  • Civic Sedan LX with M-CVT: 31 mpg city/40 mpg highway*
  • Civic Sedan Sport with M-CVT: 30 mpg city/37 mpg highway*
  • Civic Sedan EX with LL-CVT: 33 mpg city/42 mpg highway*
  • Civic Sedan Touring with LL-CVT: 31 mpg city/38 mpg highway*

2022 Honda Civic Engine Performance and Eco Assist System

Along with offering a variety of trims, there are two distinct engine options to choose from when upgrading with the 2022 Honda Civic Sedan. The standard 2.0L 4-cylinder engine is offered on the Civic Sedan LX and Sport. If you’re looking for an upgrade, you can opt for the 1.5L turbo 4-cylinder engine found on theCivic Sedan EX and Touring. Either offering will deliver plenty of power to your Billings travels.

The base engine churns out 158 hp and 138 lb-ft of torque, while the upgraded 1.5L turbo produces 180 hp and 177 lb-ft of torque. In conjunction with your preferred engine, the Eco Assist System works to maximize efficiency in two ways:

  • First, the system provides feedback on the fuel efficiency of your driving habits. If the display around the speedometer is glowing green, you’re doing well. If it’s blue, you’re likely wasting fuel.
  • Second, your Eco Assist System can be paired with an available ECON button. Once toggled, this feature will change your sedan’s performance profile to conserve fuel.
