William P. Underriner, president and co-owner of Underriner Motors in Billings, Mont., is 2012 chairman of the National Automobile Dealers Association and represents Montana’s franchised new-car dealers on the association’s board of directors. In the automobile business since 1984, Underriner took over the family business in 2001. He currently owns Honda, Hyundai, Buick and Volvo franchises in Billings. Previously, he served three terms as Treasurer of NADA and on the association’s Executive, Industry Relations, Dealership Operations and Membership committees. He has also served as chairman of the association’s Finance and Convention committees. Underriner has held a variety of offices with the Montana Automobile Dealers Association, including chairman of the board. He has been a member of the Dealers Election Action Committee’s (DEAC) Presidents Club for five years. Active in his community, Underriner has served as past president of the United Way of Yellowstone County and has served on the boards of directors for the following organizations: Yellowstone Art Museum; Zoo Montana; National Council for the Prevention of Child Abuse; American Cancer Society Relay for Life; and Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis Helena branch. Underriner is also an active supporter of the Billings Symphony, Festival of Trees, Boy Scouts of Montana, Billings Chamber of Commerce and the Billings YMCA. Susan grew up in Montana and moved to Oklahoma for a few years. It seems that Montana had always been where her heart was and she returned to her home state. Born in the Heart of England's Motor Industry, attending King Henry VIII Grammar School, Jon excelled in sports, making national squad in field events and was a passionate Rugby player. Jon has always had a love of cars, having owned & raced many hot rods, drag cars, circuit and rally cars. As a pioneer in the early years of Cellular phones in England, he created the first retail phone store in the UK under the name Talkland. Talkland went on to be the largest retailer in Europe before Vodafone purchased it. Selling his shares, Jon brought his family to the USA via Vail, Seattle, Tahoe and Capistrano Beach. An Expert skier, Jon owned Ski shops in Seattle & South Lake Tahoe and was a founding partner in Helly Hansen Outerwear Licensee stores while developing eCommerce stores since 1998. More recently adding social media to online marketing within the Motorcycle Industry. Moving to Billings in 2009, Jon is looking forward to creating a major online presence for the Underriner Group. Jon has 2 daughters and 1 son, 1 grandson with one more on the way! This a job he truly loves and he plans on staying with Underriner Motors until retirement. At Larry's 20 year high school reunion, he was reunited with Laura, who he married ten months later. They are the parents of two children and they have been blessed with two grandchildren and another one is on the way! Bob has served in the automobile industry for almost 14 years in both sales and management levels. His wife has worked in the Billings hospital systems for over 30 years, and Bob has joined her in helping with fundraising events in the community.
